In-Depth Review of the Clevo NH70

0

After a long time, and some serious consideration, I finally ordered the Clevo NH70. In this post I will go through how it was built, what hardware it runs on, the software agent it uses to run these operations and more!

Section: Full Review of the Clevo NH-70

Design and Build Quality

The Clevo NH70 is a very solid gaming laptop. It has a chassis made of plastic and aluminum, with the latter being used for its weight distribution system. The laptop also has a fingerprint-resistant matte finish, which makes it easy to clean fingerprints off your screen when you get home from work or school.

The keyboard on this model has some nice touches: it’s full number pad and backlight keys that can be customized to your liking through Synapse (Clevo’s software). There are no wobble issues here either—the keys feel solid when pressed down hard enough. And while we don’t recommend using this keyboard while gaming (you’ll want something more comfortable), it’s still an above average typing experience overall.

Screen Quality

The screen on the Clevo NH70 is an IPS panel, which means it has excellent viewing angles and color reproduction. It’s also a Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, meaning that videos and games will look crisp and clear on this laptop. The anti-glare coating ensures that you can work comfortably even when outdoors or in bright sunlight.

The brightness of 300 nits makes for easy indoor use, while contrast ratio measures 1000:1—not quite as high as some models but still very good nonetheless.

Multi-GPU

The Clevo NH70 is a good choice for multi-GPU gaming, and it supports all of the latest graphics cards from AMD and Intel.

  • Clevo NH-70 supports CrossFire + SLI, so you can run two graphics cards in each expansion slot.
  • Intel HD Graphics 630 and AMD Radeon RX 560X are supported by the Intel Core i7-8700K CPU (6 cores at 3.6 GHz) with 4 GB DDR4 RAM or 8 GB DDR4 RAM; however, this system will not be able to do justice to modern games because of its weak integrated GPU performance compared with those found on newer PCs like the X299 platform which offers more efficient solutions at faster clockspeeds than what exists here today.

Keyboard and Trackpad

The keyboard is backlit, with a red LED that shines through the keys. It’s not as bright as I’d like it to be, but it’s still plenty visible in day-to-day use.

The trackpad is large and responsive with multi-touch gesture support (swiping up/down on the bottom left corner of the trackpad will take you back/forward in your web browser). The touchpad also doesn’t click when pressed down like many other laptop keyboards do.

Battery Life

  • Battery life is good.
  • It’s not as good as other gaming laptops, but it’s still pretty good.
  • Battery life is about 4 hours for the Clevo NH70 and the Acer Predator Helios 500 Gaming Laptop (which is a heavy-duty machine). That’s not bad, but you can get more from your laptop if you have an SSD or larger battery pack.

Gaming Performance

The Clevo NH70 has a Core i7-8750H processor, which is an unlocked six-core CPU with a base clock speed of 2.2GHz and a maximum turbo frequency of 4.1GHz. It also includes 16GB of DDR4 memory (2400MHz) clocked at 42GB/s and two channels supporting up to 64GB per channel or 128GB total RAM capacity.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080Ti is an extreme gaming GPU that will handle any game you throw at it with ease!

Clevo NH70 is a powerful gaming laptop with many attractive features.

Clevo NH70 is a powerful gaming laptop with many attractive features. It also has many ports and slots for expansion.

It’s a great laptop for both gaming and general use. Its only drawback is the price tag, which can be quite high for some people.

Conclusion

The Clevo NH70 is a high-end gaming laptop that’s perfect for those who want all of the bells and whistles, but not at the expense of performance. It has a powerful processor and graphics card combo, multiple ports for everything you need on the go and more than enough storage space to keep your data safe.
